- 주변 지역에는 아메리카 원주민 중 하나인 우트족이 거주했으나 19세기 중기에 전쟁으로 인하여 쫒겨났다.
- 공원 운영 시간은 오전 5시 – 오후 9시, 방문자 및 자연 센터: 오전 9시 – 오후 5시까지이다.
- 트립어드바이저(Tripadvisor)가 선정해 최근 발표한 ‘2022 전세계 최고 명소 톱 10’(10 Best Attractions in the World)에서 9위에 이름을 올렸으며 미국내에서는 2위를 차지
