- 캐나다 유콘 준주 서던 레이크의 카크로스 커뮤니티 북쪽에 있는 호수이며 부근에는 사우스 클론다이크 고속도로가 있다.
- 암반은 로키 산맥이 형성된 시기와 똑같지만 호수는 홀로세 마지막 빙하기 시절인 1만 4천년경에 형성되었고 고농도 탄산칼슘 출처는 인근 산맥에서 침식된 석회암 자갈에서 비롯된다.
- 얕은 호수를 따라 늘어선 점토와 탄산칼슘의 혼합물인 말의 흰색 퇴적물의 반사으로 인하여 밝은 색을 띤다.
- 75마일 거리에 있는 드라이브와 몇 시간의 탐험은 이 지역에 있는 동안 하루를 보낼 수 있다.
