- 미합중국 애리조나주 페이지 시 근처에 있는, 말굽 모양으로 생긴 콜로라도 강의 물굽이 지대를 말한다.
- 북미에서 소셜 미디어의 사랑을 받는 호스슈 벤드(Horseshoe Bend)는 글렌 캐년 국립 휴양(Glen Canyon National Recreation Area)에서 가장 유명하고 방문객이 많은 곳 중 하나
- 말굽 협곡에 있는 암석들은 나바호 사암이라고 해서 쥐라기 초기인 2억년전에 형성되었고 지금의 형태로 된 것은 중신세 말기인 600만년전부터 현재까지 콜로라도 강의 침식 작용으로 인하여 형성되었다.
- 처음 발견은 1만년에 초기에는 고대 푸에블로인(Ancestral Puebloans)이지만 어려가지 이유으로 이곳을 떠났고 그 후에는 파이우트(Paiute)와 나바호(Navajo) 사람들이 차지하여 지금까지 거주
- 주차장이 있지만 주차료가 있으며 흡연이나 음주는 현지 법률에서는 문제가 없지만 현지에서는 여행객들이 때문에 사실상 용납하지 않는다.
- 드론를 날리는 행위는 해당 지역의 교육청 및 연방정부에서 승인받지 않으면 용인하지 않는다.
- 2012년 1월에 빙 웰페이퍼에서 소개된 이래로 2022년 4월에 재소개 됨
